Christopher Fowler wins eDunnit Award 2013

Christopher Fowler was announced as the winner of The eDUNNIT AWARD at Crimefest.

The eDunnit Award is for the best crime fiction ebook published in 2012 in both hardcopy and in electronic format. The winning author receives £500, an eReader, as well as a commemorative Bristol Blue Glass vase.

The nominees were:
Andrea Camilleri for The Age of Doubt (Mantle, Macmillan)
Ruth Dudley Edwards for Killing The Emperors (Allison & Busby)
Christopher Fowler for Bryant & May and the Invisible Code (Transworld) – WINNER!
C.J. Sansom for Dominion (Mantle, Macmillan)

Bryant and May and The Invisible Code is the 10th novel to feature the octagenarian detectives. In this outing Bryant & May and the Peculiar Crimes Unit become embroiled in a fiendish case involving witchcraft, secret codes, hidden relics and, of course, bloody murder…

Christopher Fowler sadly could not attend the festival and passed on the following note of thanks through Transworld Editor Rachel Rayner:

‘I’m incredibly disappointed not to be able to be at Crimefest, but I’m currently in Europe researching a new thriller. Huge thanks to everyone who voted for me, and I’m rashly promising to buy you all a drink in Bristol next year.’

Bryant and May and The Invisible Code is out in paperback on Thursday, it’s available now in ebook.

A well-deserved honor. I’ve read every other Bryant & May book–but not the latest. I’m looking forward to it.
