Pierce Brosnan to star in Last Man Out

Good news for fans of Stuart Neville’s novels – former James Bond actor Pierce Brosnan has been cast in the lead role for the forthcoming film Last Man Out.

Brosnan has been signed up to lead the film adaptation of the bestselling Stuart Neville novel The Twelve, (published as The Ghosts of Belfast in the US). The film will be directed by Terry Loan and the screenplay has been developed by Craig Ferguson and Ted Mulkerin.

Last Man Out features a former IRA hitman Gerry Fegan, (Brosnan) haunted by the deaths of his victims. Fegan is released from prison and enacts revenge for those lost.

Casting for the film is underway and filming is scheduled for the end of 2013.

Staurt Neville is the award winning author of Collusion, Stolen Souls, and The Ghosts of Belfast. His most recent novel is the highly acclaimed Ratlines. Neville lives in Armagh, Northern Ireland.
