First Look: The Crow Girl by Erik Axl Sund

The Crow Girl by Erik Axl Sund is a creepy and terrifying new psychological thriller coming our way in 2016.

Already invoking comparisons with the work of Mo Hayder and Steig Larsson’s The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, the novel features two striking women at its centre and a series of plot twists that will leave you open mouthed.

It starts with just one body – tortured, mummified and then discarded. Its discovery reveals a nightmare world of hidden lives. Of lost identities, secret rituals and brutal exploitation, where nobody can be trusted. This is the darkest, most complex case the police have ever seen. This is the world of the Crow Girl.

Erik Axl Sund is the pseudonym for two authors who have been friends and collaborators for years – Jerker Erikson and Axlander Håkan Sundquist. The Crow Girl is their first book together and has already become an international sensation, so we can’t wait to hear what you think once it’s released here in the UK during spring next year.

We’re delighted to reveal the suitably creepy cover for this striking new thriller. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below – and don’t forget to head over to our competition page to be in with a chance of winning a signed proof copy of the book!

There are a number of successful Scandinavian partners in authorship of crime novels – Maj Sjowall and Per Wahloo, Anders Roslund and Borge Hellstrom for instance. The plot and writing has to be of the highest order to keep the readers attention in this crowded genre, so here’s hoping this trilogy has what it takes……..

Very striking cover – not a cover you would forget in a hurry, and therefore if you read this book you wouldn’t forget it in a hurry!
