Split into a dual narrative, you follow Alicia’s return to her hometown with all the suppressed feelings that come with a return to a place she hoped she’d never see again, with the creepy inner monologue of an obsessed and deluded killer.

The stalking threat of these passages are gripping but one mustn’t forget the elaborate back story of Alicia’s home life and how Linda Huber portrays Alicia relationship with her father. A grim figure who tormented her as a child, is now suffering from Alzheimer’s and the two halves of guilt and resentment Alicia has feels towards him is carefully played out.
