Dead Good sent roving reporter Katy Loftus into the melee at Bristol Crimefest to report back on this season’s author chic!
You could easily assume that those in the publishing world would be a shabbily dressed lot – penniless idealists that either never leave the house (in the case of writers) or literary snobs who consider corduroy jackets the epitome of style. By extension, you could assume that the dress sense of those who work in the world of crime writing would be even worse, with their minds in the gutters and their hands tucked into dirty macs. And you may be partially right. But at Bristol Crimefest last weekend I found a few trendsetters who were willing to break the boundaries of the all-black look and make a statement.

Those publicists do know how to dress! Veronique Norton, also of Headline Publishing, is casually chic in an LBD, oversized camel blazer and comfy-but-cool flats. She can run around after misbehaving authors all day long in that outfit!
