First Look: The President is Missing by Bill Clinton and James Patterson

The President is Missing, a new novel by President Bill Clinton and global thriller master James Patterson, is heading our way in June.

Amid an international crisis, the impossible has happened: a sitting US President has disappeared. What follows is the most dramatic three days any president has ever faced – and maybe the most dramatic three days in American history. And it could all really happen.

Full of details only a President can know, The President is Missing is the most authentic – and gripping – presidential thriller ever, offering readers a unique amalgam of intrigue, suspense and behind-the-scenes global drama from the highest corridors of power.

“Working on a book about a sitting President – drawing on what I know about the job, life in the White House, and the way Washington works — has been a lot of fun,” said President Clinton. “And working with Jim has been terrific. I’ve been a fan of his for a very long time.”

The publication will be the President’s first novel and the novelist’s first collaboration with a president.

“Working with President Clinton has been the highlight of my career, and having access to his first-hand experience has uniquely informed the writing of this novel,” said Patterson. “I’m a story-teller, and President Clinton’s insight has allowed us to tell a really interesting one. It’s a rare combination – readers will be drawn to the suspense, of course, but they’ll also be given an inside look into what it’s really like to be President.”

The President is Missing promises to be a truly phenomenal novel – we can’t wait to read it!
