Nesbo’s The Son is a Thing of Beauty

‘Those who find beautiful meanings in beautiful things are the cultivated.’

Oscar Wilde

Never a truer word was uttered and what more beautiful things are there in the world than books?

Books are just wonderful, especially when their outsides are given the care and attention they deserve by talented designers who also love books. Basically this entire post is just an excuse to share with you the wonderful images of the new hardback Jo Nesbo novel The Son. You may remember the beautiful job they did on Nesbo’s last novel Police – and never to rest on their laurels, the design team at Vintage Books have gone all out to make The Son an item worth coveting, both inside and out.

Have just finished reading Jo Nesbos’ THE SON…..couldn’t put it down. it is different and exciting, the best thing he has written since HEADHUNTERS, would give this 5 stars and highly recommend to lovers of this genre……..

Hope I win Jo Nesbo’s latest thriller!

It’s great to see a publisher making a creative effort with their cover art. In this era of e-books it is more important than ever that legacy publishing delivers art that is distinctive and beautiful.
I remember well the contribution that Richard Chopping made to Fleming’s success and who will ever forget the fabulous design of Deightons Ipcress file!

I am so looking forward to reading Jo’s latest best seller.
